As we watch in utter shock at the reckless disregard our political representatives have for the Constitution and the traditions of our great American republic, we must ask ourselves how we have gotten to this point and what must be done to stymie the federal governments march toward complete usurpation of power.
I have created the American Policy Examiner to provide answers to these important questions. To warn you, I must say that you will continue to become more and more enraged as you come closer and closer to answering the former question while becoming more and more empowered as you come closer and closer to answering the second.
As a concerned Tea Party activist, I hope my site fulfills the following objectives in addition to answering the questions previously outlined.
1) I have created a special news section which is an aggregate of news articles that I have identified as being of greatest importance to American citizens. I feel that because of the increasing corruption of the news media, no one source can be reliable for informing its readers/viewers on the important issues. I am taking efforts to find information in which many news outlets blacklist: everything from the illegal immigration problem to political corruption to public policy being progressed behind closed doors and in the dark of night.
2) To compliment the news section, I have created an opinion section that selects the best opinions from sources across the internet. Because of the severity of our present situation, it is vital that citizens have access to excellent analysis and commentary from reputable sources. I look for commentary that helps the reader better understand the issues and reflects the traditional philosophy of our nation. However, I will include some opinions from those who are actively trying to further the usurpation of power by the progressive machine. It is important to read and understand what they are saying because it reflects, and oftentimes foreshadows, the actions that the progressive politicians are taking to further undermine our system of governance.
3) In addition to popular opinions, I am also taking an extra step to disseminate analysis from the brains behind public policy, political sentiment, and political action: that is, think tanks. Of my personal favorite think tanks include the independent Council on Foreign Relations and the conservative Heritage Foundation and American Enterprise Institute.
4) While quality news, opinions and analysis is important for making the public aware of the events and issues manifesting in Washington D.C., it is vital for people to be educated and have easy-to-use resources available so that they can stay on top of the issues. Because most of us are average folks, we cannot remember every little detail about every political issue. However, with my research guide, my objective is for the average person to be able to quickly access historical documents as well as my own analysis that puts historical figures in context. I also provide resources so that everyone can find legal information and working papers that can be used for a variety of purposes.
5) Lastly, I have created a blog that features my own perspective on political issues. However, my blog is also a tool for me to communicate with the readers as well as give the readers an opportunity to communicate with me and with others who read my blog. In addition to commentary, I encourage readers to send me their own articles so I can post them on my blog and also disseminate them in my newsletter. The newsletter compliments the blog in this communication, but also compliments the overall site, providing the best of the news and research tips and resources.
I hope that you will be able to empower yourselves through knowing the current events and knowing our history. Although I encourage you to find your own conclusions using the American Policy Examiner, I think it is fitting for you to know what I have learned and where I am coming from on the issues.
After having done extensive research, I have learned many aspects of theory and history that were never taught to me in my political science classes; although my political theory classes helped send me in the right direction. I will keep this simple and brief. The foundations of the United States of America were not based on conventional political calculations as we see today. They were based on a very specific, rational philosophy.
The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were heavily influenced by the philosophy of John Locke. In his Two Treatises, John Locke articulates the rational basis for limited government with separated powers. This government's legitimacy is solely based on the original contract with the citizens it represents and it is bound by the contract (see John Locke in the Political Philosophy section). If the people wish to change the contract, a new one must be created. However, in no way can the government subvert the terms of the original contract and remain legitimate.
The United States Constitution is this contract. Its terms that bind the government to the citizens' will are based on John Locke's philosophy and Judeo-Christian tradition. Furthermore, the Federalist Papers, 85 publications written by three very influential founding fathers after the Constitutional Convention of 1787, spell out what the Constitution means.
The underlying problem today is that despite the clear and extensive historical framework that was implemented to prevent any confusion about conditions of governance in the American republic, the progressive movement has spent the past century infiltrating all parts of government, doing everything in its power to undermine and circumvent this contract. What is remarkable is that only now are people becoming aware of this cancer in our country. So what is the problem with Progressivism and why is it a cancer? ...You may ask.
The issue is that Progressivism is a movement whose principles are rooted in post-modern, post-Christian, post-Locke philosophy. The modern liberal and the modern progressive hold very perverse principles ranging from the Utopianism of Kant to the bureaucratic rule of Hegel to the secular society of radical equality of Marx to the anti-God, moral relativism of Nietzsche.
The greatest obstacle for achieving the goals of the Progressive Movement is the AMERICAN CONSTITUTION. Because the post-modern philosophies are in direct contradiction to John Locke and America's founding fathers', progressives cannot further their agenda without circumventing, undermining and ultimately destroying the American Constitution. When you hear accusations of anti-American' or 'un-American,' ignore progressives' denials because by its very definition Progressivism IS anti-American/un-American.
When one becomes a judge, he takes an oath to uphold the Constitution. However, upholding the Constitution means upholding the philosophy of John Locke and Judeo-Christian tradition. To do otherwise, violates the very oath for which a judge took. However, in today's law schools, progressive interpretation of the Constitution is often taught as legitimate, which of course is not. So long as progressive interpretation, a.k.a. 'living-document', is seen as legitimate, the United States Constitution will be threatened and the American way of life will be threatened. Just one progressive decision is responsible for the killing of tens of millions of babies. The impact of thousands of progressive court decisions each year is unmeasurable.
I have created the American Policy Examiner to help bring awareness to the progressive threat we face as Americans and to educate Americans on their country's foundations. Education is the greatest defense we have as a nation and must be our first priority. The Examiner will not only continue to bring awareness to the issues threatening our nation and give resources necessary for furthering the education of the public but will do what it can to provide resources for taking real action and to take the fight to Capitol Hill. The progressive movement must be stopped once and for all.
